Great post. Articles that have meaningful and insightful comments are more enjoyable, at least to me. It’s interesting to read what other people thought and how it relates to them or their clients, as their perspective could possibly help you in the future.

Thanks for the comment Meg. That's why these conservation projects that I've been profiling are so effective. It's never done in a vacuum. It only works with the support of the local communities and if you can't meet their needs, then you can't meet the needs of the animals.

Thanks for the comment Jo. There are several black rhino conservation projects running in South Africa. But the situation is quite dire. You can read more here:

Cotton-Top Tamarins look adorable. I am so happy to see someone put in efforts in spreading the word about conservation. We cannot have our future generations miss out. Do you know if there's anything going on for the Black Rhinos? They are soooo close to extinction :(

These guys are gorgeous - thanks for raising awareness of this cause. I'm glad there are efforts out there to discourage the illegal pet trade. It's obviously a difficult one, because as you said, I can totally understand how a person in poverty would see that as an easy way to put food on their table or better their lives. It's always a difficult and delicate balance to maintain.
